How the meetings are organised
The events take place in different places. Usually they are pubs or restaurants. The cost of participation is 400 lei and it includes one drink (beer or water) and snacks. Last time the meeting was in Lake House and, to be honest, I was so full that there was no need to order more.
At the entrance, we were given a badge with a number and an instruction booklet, which is not to be shown to anyone. It describes how the event goes, and at which table I have to sit in each round. Each table is numbered, there are 4 rounds in total, and in each round I am instructed to tell either the truth or untruth. I met new people in each round, there was almost no overlap with people from the previous round and I really enjoyed that. Networking is structured in such a way that I have the opportunity to meet a lot of people in a fun environment.
Once all the rounds are over, the organisers leave to prepare for the prize draw from the sponsors, leaving us to mingle.
What happened at the meeting on 25 February
The event was supported by many partners such as S-Terra Soft Programming School, a network of quest rooms Кульмина✝️ор MD QuestRoom, clothing brand PersonalPrint.Store, Sky Massage Studio, Kalisa Retouch retouching course, English Meetups with Alexandra Bordulat.
All partners raffled off prizes for the participants. There were a lot of prizes. I was lucky enough to sit at a table where almost everyone won a prize, and I left happy with a certificate for 3 massage sessions from Sky Massage.
Also, Alexandra Vescu, Executive Director of KIVORK, gave a masterclass on interviewing and preparation methods.
About IT Party Community
I asked Victor to tell me more about how it all started.
"In April 2023, I was listening to a podcast of an IT guy who had moved to a country in Europe. He was talking about how he attended a networking event and significantly expanded his circle of acquaintances there. At the time, I was working for a Moldovan product company as a Python developer. Since we worked remotely, I had this need to socialise with colleagues from IT, especially in an offline format. I wanted to find something similar, similar networking events in Chisinau, but somehow without success. Basically, that's how the idea to organise meetings, events where all those who are somehow connected with IT and technologies would gather appeared. Our meetings are attended by all kinds of people, of different genders, ages, positions and levels in companies. But all of them are connected or plan to connect their lives with IT and technology."

The community can be found on all popular social networks. All links can be found in community description.
I will be joining the next meeting with great pleasure, I invite you to join 🙂 And I wish the organisers inspiration and strength to continue such events!
