Legacy of previous hackathons
The largest technological hackathon in Moldova will gather more than 300 programmers, designers, entrepreneurs and researchers from all over the world at Tekwill from 12 to 14 September. In 48 hours, they will have to develop prototypes that solve real problems.
In the past years, medical applications, energy efficiency solutions, cybersecurity platforms and AI tools for the labour market were born here. Examples of successful projects:
- Medical AI - patient prognosis app, winner in the Open Challenge category.
- WiseEnergy - energy optimisation system.
- 500 OK - AI assistant for personal budget management.
- HEX - a solution for finding vulnerabilities in digital wallets.
- Gigachads - automation of recruitment processes, which won the Grand Prix.
These projects proved: Moldova is capable of becoming a regional hub for advanced technologies.
Success stories
2024 participant Anatoly Bondarev noted:
"This was a turning point for our team. Alexandra Bulgak's topic on the application of AI in medicine turned into a real project with funding of €25,000, which is now being tested with ultrasound equipment manufacturers. The support of the mentors and advice from the jury gave us confidence and direction."

Challenges 2025
This year, the teams will work on real business and social challenges. Each direction provides prizes of 30,000 lei and the possibility of joint project realisation with partners. Among the themes:
- sustainable energy,
- smart car parks,
- AI-assisted medical diagnosis,
- cybersecurity,
- gamified education.
