The conference was hosted by the brightest faces of the Moldovan IT community: Elena Putina, UX/UI designer from Enspire Creative, and Roman Gluck, Sales Manager from Pentalog. They kept the pace perfectly and helped to create a warm and inspiring atmosphere.
The highlight of the opening was the visit of the Prime Minister of Moldova Dorin Recean, who emphasised how important the IT sector's contribution to the country's development is. Speeches by guests from different parts of the world - IBM, Amazon, ASML, Electrolux and Pirate - enlivened the stage and broadened the horizons of the Moldovan IT community. Speakers from Germany, the Netherlands, South Africa, Sweden, Finland, Croatia, Serbia, Northern Macedonia, Romania and, of course, Moldova shared experiences and insights, covering everything from cutting-edge technologies to the latest trends in development.
The organiser of Moldova DevCon, CEO of Fusion.Works, Anton Perkin, summed it up on his Facebook page: "We have organised the biggest event for developers in Moldova. This year we tested a lot of things, tried a lot of things, we are incredibly tired and now we know how to make everything even better. Doing Moldova DevCon in the biggest arena of the country is a challenge like never before. But we needed it! I feel a huge LOVE for the whole team, partners, guests, speakers, everyone who supported us. It hasn't been easy. But we will keep working for you, for the community. #MDC is a place where people are the most important thing."
But it didn't end there. The real "cherry on the cake" was the after-party, which blew up the Chișinau Arena. The legendary Moldovan band Gândul Mâței organised a musical finale that participants will definitely remember for a long time. Developers, designers and managers, forgetting their work tasks, danced and celebrated together as one big community.
A pleasant surprise for us was the awarding of the #MDC Amazing partner statuette. We were very happy to be part of such a great event.
And yes, this is not the end! Moldova DevCon promises to return next year - follow their Telegram channel for all updates and news.
