What you’ll do:
- Oversee all company accounts
- Create monthly and annual reports to identify, trends, and financial forecasts
- Manage Cash Flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
- Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported
- Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
- Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
- Develop budgets and financial plans for the company, based on research and data reports
- Review all financial plans and budgets, regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
- Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
- Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculation
- Report to the CFO with timely and accurate financial information
- Assist the CFO in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders and board members
What you need:
- Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required.
- Minimum Experience: 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Ability to develop and manage budgets, analyze variances, and forecast financial performance.
- Financial Analysis: Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements, including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant tax laws.
- Risk Management: Experience in assessing financial risks, implementing internal controls, and developing strategies to mitigate risks.
- Team Leadership: Proven leadership and management skills to oversee a finance team, delegate tasks effectively, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders, present financial reports, and provide recommendations to senior management.
