Moldova IT Park extended until 2035

Moldova Innovation Technology Park (MITP) came into force in 2008 for a period of 10 years with the possibility of extension. The purpose of this community is to support the development of the IT sector in Moldova and to attract foreign partners.

MITP offers the most favourable conditions in Europe for doing business in IT for companies registered on the territory of Moldova - 7% income tax.

Yesterday it became known that by a greater number of votes in the last reading of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, the MITP validity term was extended until 2035 (inclusive) with the preservation of the tax rate of 7%.

This also applies to activities related to call centres and human resources services:

• Activități ale centrelor de intermediere telefonică (call centre) (82.20)
• Alte servicii de furnizare a forţei de muncă (78.30)

Regarding these activities, there were expressed dissatisfaction on the part of Natalia Dontsu, MITP's Administrator as the activities of such companies are not directly related to IT and contradict the idea of community.

However, in any case, this is good news not only for the IT community in Moldova, but also for the country as a whole.
