🔍 How has artificial intelligence affected education and what impact is it having on children? 🧠
With the continuous transformation of society and the rapid evolution of technology, artificial intelligence 🤖 is beginning to occupy a central role in modern education and parenting. How does AI affect education and parenting and what benefits or challenges does it bring for parents and teachers? These questions will be answered by Anna Ubeivolc and Tudor Lapp in the workshop "Pandora's Box: AI in Teaching and Parenting", a session that will explore the impact and rules needed in the interaction between AI and copii👨👩👧👦.
Anna Ubeivolc is a psychoeducator, educational curriculum developer and director of education operations at the Urban Centre. With extensive experience in the field of psychoeducation, she is dedicated to developing innovative programmes that support the personal and educational growth of young people.
Her role as Director of Operations allows her to coordinate and implement effective strategies designed to enhance the educational experience for students and promote a culture of inclusive learning.
Tudor Lapp is a computer science teacher and trainer at the Future Classroom Centre and has a keen interest in artificial intelligence, robotics, microelectronics and the implementation of digital educational technologies and innovations. 🧩💻
Besides being a graduate of the University of East London in Computer Science, Tudor Lapp believes in developing education in the Republic of Moldova through STEAM and integrating a suite of innovative technologies to give students the ability to think critically, research and solve real-life problems 💡.
The event agenda includes a general introduction, two workshops for parents and teachers in Russian and Romanian respectively, followed by a panel discussion and a Q&A session.👩🏫❓🗣️
The workshop will address the challenges created by AI, including its risks and benefits for children's development. Participants will learn how to guide children in the responsible use of artificial intelligence, protect them from the dangers of deepfake, and set clear boundaries to prevent tehnologie🕵️♂️📵 addiction.
The key topics to be covered in the workshop are:
🧠AI and mental development: it will discuss how AI influences children's learning and skills development and the effects on their identity.
🚨Risk of deepfake: How AI can generate fake images and sounds and what precautions parents can take.
📜Copyright and ethics: How AI-generated creations should be handled among young people.
💬Managing interaction with AI: The risks of replacing human interactions with artificial ones and how this can influence a child's emotional development will be explored.
