Moldova is in the early stages of adopting artificial intelligence and BIG Data, but its potential is significant in areas such as agriculture, banking and finance, health and public administration.
The government is focused on digital transformation, and international partnerships are creating a solid foundation for the growth of AI in Moldova. By overcoming infrastructural and regulatory challenges, Moldova has the opportunity to leverage AI to modernise the economy, spur innovation and improve public services.
The AI & BIG Data 2025 Conference, which will take place on April 3-4, 2025 at Tekwill, aims to bring together regional leaders from business and government, offering practical sessions and concrete examples of how AI can be used to increase efficiency and economic development.
This edition will build on the success of 2024, when more than 800 professionals explored topics such as AI for the public good, ethical AI, AI in education, and examples of AI adoption in business.
The previous edition initiated the endorsement of the White Paper on AI and Data Governance, the creation of an AI Sector Committee and the launch of Generative AI courses in schools. In 2025, the first AI Lab in Moldova is set to open and international collaborations are expanding for projects in agriculture, finance and energy.
The conference is a crucial event, bringing stakeholders together to explore the transformative potential of AI and big data technologies in tackling current challenges and shaping a brighter future for Eastern Europe.
The conference "Artificial Intelligence & Big Data" is organised by the National Association of ICT Companies (ATIC), AmCham Moldova and AC Tech, in partnership with the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization. The conference takes place under the aegis of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova.
